Holidays in Powell Tree Lighting & Festivities!

Bells rang, carolers sang and hundreds of people enjoyed the 2009 Holidays in Powell festivities Saturday, Dec. 5 at the Municipal Building and Village Green Park.

The event also included a visit from jolly ol’ St. Nick himself, decorated shops with a delightful array of gifts, trolley rides, children’s crafts, warm foods and more!

At 5:30 p.m., Santa Claus and Mayor Tom Counts flipped the switch on the official City Christmas Tree decorated with hundreds of twinkling lights!
