Powell Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony

Rain showers cleared out just in time for the 2010 Powell Memorial Day parade! A good crowd lined the streets despite the weather and paid tribute to our veterans, past and present.

Immediately after the parade, City officials led a brief ceremony at the Veterans Memorial in Village Green Park. This year's event also featured the Ohio Flags of Honor, a moving tribute to Ohio soldiers killed in the War on Terrorism, which was on display in the park from May 29-31 (visit www.ohioflagsofhonor.org to learn more).
