Parks & Recreation

Parks & Rec

The Parks & Recreation Department strives to create community through people, parks and programs. We are proud to offer a place for you and your family to play, learn, create and imagine.

There are more than 200 diverse year-round recreational, leisure and education programs and activities throughout the City’s parks and facilities. The City encourages you to play, ride or stride on our interconnected trail system and enjoy the acres of open space preserved throughout Powell.

Powell features more than eight miles of trails and approximately 85 acres of park land, offering numerous opportunities for walking, wildlife viewing, jogging or simply enjoying the outdoors. Our shared pathways and parks are special points of pride and we hope you use this guide to help you plan your next route through our community, or to explore the open spaces and natural areas that make Powell a special place to live. And no matter which path you’re on, you’re always close to home in Powell.

The City of Powell Splash Pad has closed for the season. See you in 2013!
