Solicitors
Anyone wishing to work as a peddler/solicitor within the City limits must complete an Application for Peddler Permit(PDF, 2MB) and undergo a background check. The fee is $75 for one year. Call 614-885-5005 to schedule the background check.
Any charitable or religious organizations wishing to solicit donations within the City limits must complete a Charitable Solicitor Registration(PDF, 761KB) form.

The City prohibits soliciting between the hours of 8 p.m. and 9 a.m., and on Sundays and holidays. It is a misdemeanor to solicit at residences where a “No Soliciting” sign has been posted. If you see someone going door to door whom you suspect is working without the proper permit, contact the City of Powell Police Department at 614.885.3374. Granting a permit to an applicant does not imply a company or product endorsement from the City of Powell.
