Powell Community Band

The Powell Community Band is a welcoming, community-centered ensemble that brings together musicians of all skill levels in Powell, Ohio. Founded in 1987 as the Greater Columbus Concert Band, the group relocated to Powell in January 2021 at the invitation of city leadership and has since become a valued part of the community. With the support of Faith Life Church, which generously hosts weekly rehearsals, the band continues to grow and thrive while celebrating a shared love of music.

The band performs a wide-ranging repertoire, from traditional and patriotic selections to contemporary works, and proudly partners with the City of Powell to present the annual Village Green Summer Concert Series on the second Sunday of June, July, and August. Additional highlights include the annual Holiday Concert in early December and performances throughout Central Ohio at community events, celebrations, and civic observances. Through these performances, the Powell Community Band enriches local culture and strengthens community connections through the power of music.
