David Lester has worked in the Property & Casualty insurance industry since 2009. Since 2015, he has played a key role in helping grow Hosket Ulen Insurance Solutions into the largest independent insurance agency in Central Ohio. David manages relationships with businesses across the country, providing executive guidance on complex insurance portfolios and risk management strategies.
David currently serves as Chair of the Planning & Zoning Commission and is a member of the Operations Committee for the City of Powell.
The Lester family supports several nonprofit organizations, including Feed the Kids Columbus, The Heinzerling Developmental Center, numerous high school athletic programs within the Grove City and Olentangy school districts, and the Delaware County 4-H Junior Fair.
In 2018, a Citizen Representative position was created for the Development Committee, providing David the opportunity to begin volunteering his time with the City of Powell. He was appointed to Powell City Council in 2023 and was later elected to a four-year term beginning in 2026.
David’s top priority for the City of Powell is continuing to develop and support the premier police department in Central Ohio.
David and his family moved to the City of Powell in 2015 because of its strong family-oriented community and exceptional school system and currently reside in the Kinsale neighborhood.
