City of Powell accepting bids for Lechler Building addition

The City of Powell is accepting bids for the Lechler Building Addition Project, a capital improvement effort to renovate and expand an existing facility at 453 Murphy Parkway.

Bids will be submitted electronically through Bid Express until 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.

Project Scope

The project includes renovation of a 4,051-square-foot garage, a 786-square-foot addition, exterior siding and roofing improvements, a dumpster enclosure and associated plumbing, electrical, mechanical and site work. The estimated base bid is $1.3 million.

Bid Information

Bid documents are available at no cost through Bid Express. Contractors must register and complete all requirements prior to submitting a bid.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held:

March 26, 2026,11 a.m.

Only contractors who attend may submit bids.

Questions and Requirements

Questions must be submitted through Bid Express by 4 p.m. on April 8, 2026. Each bid must include a bid guaranty and meet all requirements outlined in the bid documents, including prevailing wage, insurance and equal employment provisions.

The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and award the contract in the best interest of the City.
