Olentangy Street Pedestrian Crossings Project
Olentangy Street Pedestrian Crossings Project
Published on November 13, 2025
Work is underway on the Olentangy Street Pedestrian Crossings project. Over the next several weeks, crews will:
Upgrade existing crossings at Hall Street and Depot Street
Add a new crossing at Traditions Way
Install new ramps, storm sewer improvements, pavement markings, and activated pedestrian crossing signs
Each location will feature a Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB), a bright, strobe-like light that activates when pedestrians use the crosswalk, helping drivers spot them more easily and improving safety for everyone.
This project is funded through an Abbreviated Safety Grant from the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) as part of the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP).
Thank you for your patience as we make these important safety upgrades across our community.
