Attention Powell residents and motorists: starting Dec. 15, the speed limit on Rutherford Road within the City of Powell will be reduced from 45 MPH to 35 MPH. This speed adjustment is the first step in a broader safety evaluation of speed limits throughout the area in other jurisdictions.
Why the change? To improve safety for motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists in a growing corridor
What you need to know: If you travel Rutherford Road through Powell, please adjust your speed accordingly

Where: Only the segment of Rutherford Road within city boundaries. The speed limit outside the city remains 45 MPH
