Citizens Police Academy

Registration for the 2025 Citizens Police Academy opens in June.

The Powell Police Department hosts an annual Citizens Police Academy each fall. Participants gain insight on crime prevention and will receive an inside look at the Powell Police Department. The 11-week session takes place every Wednesday evening from 7-9 p.m.

Criminal and Traffic Laws
Crime Prevention and Awareness
Crime Scene Investigations
Traffic Stops and OVI Enforcement
CPR
