Powell Adding Three Tornado Sirens
Powell Adding Three Tornado Sirens
Published on July 22, 2025
In
the coming months, new outdoor warning sirens will be installed as part of the City's commitment to enhancing public safety and emergency preparedness. Sirens will be located at:
Seldom Seen Park Entrance
Scioto Glenn Park
Bennett Farm
While the sirens will be owned and maintained by the City of Powell, they will operate as part of the Delaware County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) siren network. Reminder: Delaware County EMA conducts routine siren testing on the first Wednesday of each month at noon, weather permitting. These tests help ensure the sirens are working properly.
For more information about siren coverage and emergency preparedness, visit Delaware County EMA's website.
