The newly constructed segment of North Depot Street is now open in downtown Powell. This key infrastructure project that marks a significant step forward in improving connectivity and supporting future growth in Downtown Powell.
Located between Case Avenue and the new Encore Park development, this project is the result of a successful public-private partnership aimed at creating a more accessible and vibrant downtown environment.
The new segment includes:
“This is a win for the entire Powell community,” said Powell City Manager Andy White. “North Depot Street improves how people move through and engage with our downtown, and it supports the kind of thoughtful, sustainable growth we’re committed to.”
The North Depot Street extension also lays the groundwork for additional revitalization projects. Later this summer, the City will begin the reconstruction of North Depot Street from Olentangy Street to Case Avenue, a project that will introduce new sidewalks, expanded parking, enhanced street lighting, improved roadway drainage, and more.
These infrastructure improvements are part of Powell’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the downtown core, enhance safety, and support economic development.
