About the Commission
The Planning and Zoning Commission (P&Z) serves as the primary reviewing body for development and is comprised of seven (7) members. Each member, appointed by City Council, serves a four-year term. The Planning and Zoning Commission makes recommendations to Council on a variety of development-related issues as well as amendments to the Zoning Code. The Commission meets the second Wednesday of each month at 6:30 PM at City Hall.

Application Procedures
Please consult the Planning Department before submitting any applications. This ensures that the department is aware of the application and that all application requirements have been met. Once the completed application is received, it is reviewed by department staff for compliance with the zoning code, design guidelines, and other adopted city policies before being recommended to the P&Z for their consideration and decision. At each step in the process, the applicant will have the opportunity to address staff, P&Z, City Council (as applicable), and public concerns or questions.
