Powell City Council met Tuesday evening to review updates, approve routine business, and take action on several items that support city operations, planning, and public safety.

  • Ordinance 2026-01 grants final acceptance of public improvements for the Smith Farm at Carpenter's Mill, Phases A and B. This allows the City to officially assume responsibility for the completed infrastructure following inspections and confirmation that City standards were met.
  • Resolution 2026-05 authorizes the annual disposition of unneeded or obsolete City-owned property through an internet auction.
  • Resolution 2026-06 authorizes an agreement with Placer Labs to provide data analytics that help inform planning and economic development decisions.
  • Resolution 2026-07 renews the City's ArcGIS services with ESRI, ensuring continued access to mapping and geographic information tools used across City departments.
  • Resolution 2026-08 increases a professional services agreement with SSOE Group to continue updates to the Downtown Design Guidelines. These updates will help guide future development and redevelopment in the downtown area.
  • Resolution 2026-09 authorizes the purchase of three police cruisers.
  • Resolution 2026-10 authorizes the demolition of the City-owned structure at 44 N. Liberty Street, allowing the City to address the condition of the property and plan for future use of the site.
  • Resolution 2026-11 accepts the City's Facilities Master Plan as a guiding policy document. This plan will serve as a long-term framework for future capital investments and facility planning.
